lol i have been biting my nails ever since i had teeth. and i finally was able to quit biting them for about two weeks. they are just past the finger, i guess u would say "normal length" for guys. and im proud of them.

yes, I do bite my fingernails never stop since I was kid lol .. my mom keep tell me STOP BITE THE FINGERNAILS! lol but I do sometime use clipnail (sp) sorry! I hate long nails lol cause not want to cut my skins or cut someone's skins not want same like a cat!!! lol hahaha :lol:
 
AJ.. How did you do it?

Flyfree and OldNavygirl.. I was told to put Tabasco sauce or any kind of hot sauce and put it on your fingernails and will help less biting. I thought it was nasty but its better than biting with them germs all over it, right?

The only time I remember I had nails was when I took vitamins when I was pregnant. I tried to leave it long but it kept chipping and tearing. My nails are too soft and will not stay hard. I wish my nails had a hard-on :giggle:

To most of you, I agree that there are germs everywhere and gets in your nails. I just can't help it. My daughter bite hers just like mommy. I tried to tell her to stop biting due to germs everywhere. She said but mama you bite yours. What can I say????? She takes after me in a lot of ways.
 
i dont know how i did it...i just stopped. i realized like 3 days later...oh i haven't bitten my nails in 3 days. i just didnt have the urge to do it. and now that they have grown i dont want to bite them.

mom did actually put on tabasco sauce on my fingers when i was a teen -- it did work temporarily when not doing anything but watching some program on TV but is not a good idea due to it becoming so sticky and it can actually stain the fingers and isnt good if u were reading a book LOL -- wouldnt have been able to turn the pages without leaving tabasco fingerprints (i was a major bookworm when i was a kid) LOL

I've never done that before and I don't think I can do it.. would that burn your skin if you have an open cut around the fingers? :shock:

My nails breaks easy when I'm cleaning or working at the cook-offs.....Sometimes my nails grow longer but it don't last long :(

I was so bad at biting my nails that I finally had acrylic nails put on - end of probem - they look great. Get them filled every 2 or 3 weeks.

Wow! I can't bite mine. Try keeping your nails neatly clipped and use a nail strengthening clear polish. Unless I take good care of my nails - I bite them until they hurt. If they are not snagged and in good shape, I usually won't bite them.

Thanks for the advice, but its friggin' hard not to keep it away from my mouth..
