Curious have anyone of you seen or drove this kind of road configuration? Its called Diverging Diamond. Was there earlier today and man! Much better than what it used to be. I used to hate deal with that road in the past. I used to live in that area and know how bad traffic jam can be. Looks like not anymore. The idea was 4 years ago, and Federal DOT had paid for these project as test trial to see how it goes. Now only 5 in USA has them, so far 37% reduction in car accidents, and 100% reduction on accident from trying to make left turn. The only issue I have was not used to drive on left lane.

Interesting. I love some of the new intersections they are designing. Elegant solution are alway facinating to me. They redesigned the one at the end of my road and it would work great if people understood yield is not the same as merge.

Yeah, when I first heard on news. Then I happen need to go someplace near that spot. I ended up checked it out and it was so smoothly, and never seen like this before as low traffic flow. I love low traffic flow.

When I was in Pittsburgh couple weeks ago and was shocked how bad road traffic and the amount of constructions. This leaves me no regret for moving out of Pgh. I can't stand traffic jams.

I kinda of like to see more of intersection configuration like this in future. I think it will help relieve traffic congestion.
