Good afternoon everyone!
I'm working with a partner of mine on a motion sensing attachment concept for smart phones that would allow the deaf to communicate with non deaf people. Our project coined, "Amplify" recognizes signing gestures and translates them into automated responses for non deaf listeners. As they respond, voice recognition simply translates spoken word back into text.
Me and my friend were curious if we could gain some insights into current habits or problems the deaf community may face when approaching mobile phones.
Any comments or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
