Detectives searching for hit and run driver who injured deaf woman | WFTS-TV | First in HD
Detectives are searching for a hit and run driver who critically injured a deaf woman early this morning.
According to the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office, 43-year-old Wendy Anthony was walking along County Road 579 just north of Sligh Avenue when she was struck by a car around 7:30 this morning.
Anthony, who is hearing impaired, was critically injured and taken to Tampa General Hospital. She was last seen leaving her home on Mobile Vila Drive around 1:30 am.
A description of the car has not been released, detectives are asking anyone who might have seen a car traveling south at the time of the accident to call the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
