depressing pics of oil affecting wildlife

It is depressing, but lots of conflicting ideas as well as cleanup methods can arise from it.

Lack of response is probably be due to how to clean it up. There isn't easy ways to clean up spills aside from manual labor. Everyone is thinking of solutions, I think last week or so some Redneck-types mentioned using Hay and there's a demonstration footage somewhere.

Luckily the crude natural sediments are hydrophobic so it doesn't destroy everything underseas.

A quick way to clean up? Light it all up, let the oil burn and release fumes.
Con: fumes from all the combustion, CO2 emittance, stuff go to died, etc. Greenpeace folks ANGRY

Nationwide team? Manual labor
Con: expensive, lots are strapped for cash in this economy

Farm hay? Need billions or millions of tons of hay.
Con: What are the animals gonna eat?

Evolutionists: Survival of the fittest creatures
Con: Preservationalists

Lots of things going on, my friend.

Hay demonstration: No subtitles, but you can fastfoward to watch him create the example.

I went fishing out in the Gulf last Wednesday. They are burning some of the oil off the surface of the water. IT STINKS bad. I have not see any oil close to the coast of Florida. We went about 29 miles off the coast. so it was no where near us. But the smell and vapors were.

I feel sick every time I see pictures or discuss this. Especially with Hurricane season nearby.

Forgot to mention to my last post, burning all of the oil would be pretty drastic as the combustion process requires oxygen which is going to suck up the molecules in the water, creating a dead zone once again. Since much of the underseas creatures need those o2 to live it would be depriving them of oxygen.

Reminds me of the mexico gulf's dead zone.

But honestly I think the best fix is everyone doing a little bit of joint effort here and there with everyone's ideas. Some farms ship over their excess hay, can burn off some of it if scooped out or create some kind of fuel source with it, etc.

Looks good on paper but needs unlazified people to work on it, especially since no one is making money out of it.
