Stranger things have happened. People try to forge their transcripts, and even their degrees all the time. You'd be surprised.

That's the thing. They are truly annoying, but no one else is writing 600 page children's wizarding books.

I haven't read this as I'm not a big fan of mysteries and my tastes run more to SF in fiction and I more often than not read non fiction.

I have to admit...I do love the Harry Potter books, and was quite sad when the last one came out.

It is an alternate Earth, Medieval magic series. So sort of science fiction. But not for adults.

I keep hoping she will get bored, and write one last one to elaborate on their adult lives and careers.

My nephew is a science fiction reader. He even gave up his free period (he's a teacher) to teach a high school course in Science Fiction Literature. Jack McDermott visited his class.

:hmm: You have a point there. I just thought that if I were a forager, it'd make better sense to forge a degree than an acceptantce letter. I take it you speak from personal experience. If I recall correctly, you've taught as a professor so you would know.

Yes, it comes from experience. And yes, I taught undergrad psych courses. Still do.

Wouldn't make much sense to forge a degree in this case, since he was stating that he turned the opportunity for the degree down. The question was whether or not he had ever been accepted.

Hey Bott, have you read _The Golden Compass_? I haven't, but a friend of mine, who is quite a literati, says Philip Pullman is an amazing writer, regardless of genre or intended audience age.

I concur! The Golden Compass is an excellent read, and I am well beyond the intended age group!:giggle:

I was accepted. I still have the physical piece of that letter. I'll film it and show it to posts from hell and he can again verify it again. If that not satisfactory, give Dr. Brubaker a call. :shrug:

Sorry koko, you have already defeated your own purpose. Brubaker cannot release any information regarding your academic records, and I seriously doubt that she would remember a student from 10 years ago that didn't even attend the university.
