The Speech Pathology (aka NSSHLA) is having people come and talk about CIs. Should I go to the events and decide how I feel about CIs?

Sure, why not? :) I wish something like that would have been available in my area before I got my CI. Most of the information I learned about CI's came from e-mail lists and the Internet. It would have been nice to meet CI recipients and/or professionals to find out directly from them what kind of an impact CI's have on a severely HoH or profoundly deaf person's life.
