ROCHESTER, N.Y. (May 14, 2006) – Gallaudet University’s “Tent City” may be gone, but the memories of 12 historic days in Washington, D.C. will live on forever – with a bit of help from Deafweekly.

Deafweekly has created a design to commemorate the protest that began May 1 at Gallaudet when Jane Fernandes was announced as the next president. The headline-style design says, “12 DAYS IN MAY: The World Hears Gallaudet University.”

The design is available on a wide variety of products, including shirts, mugs, throw pillows, tile coasters, mouse pads, BBQ aprons, caps, tote bags, buttons, magnets, journals and small posters.

It’s an ideal way to remember 12 days that brought the deaf community together in a spirit of friendship and hope.
