The Silencer defeated Lifeguard Wade Koverly on Saturday night, June 27 during a Coastal Championship Wrestling show at Jimmy Snuka's Bodyslam University, next to the Circus Bar & Grill in (South Florida) Pompano Beach.
What made this match special, The Silencer is deaf, but no one ever knew as the combatants worked well together.
Fans booed the bad guy, cheered the good and applauded a solid match. Audience reaction, that's what you want when you wrestle, and they got it.
From a working standpoint, wrestlers whisper moves to each other during a match with one leading the action. When battling The Silencer, you can't do that, but the professional ones handle it.
Veteran wrestler Blackhart Dave Johnson, who works behind the scenes for CCW, said the wrestlers like working with The Silencer.
