Small, silent world
Far from the hearing world
Beautiful sign language
Far from the language of speaking
No noises heard through ears
Far from ever hearing noise pollution
Listening with the heart
Far from the devil
A million thoughts crossing the mind
None of them thoughtless
Many start like this “I wonder if”
No sure answer to each thought
How wonderful is the sound of silence
Silence rings in my ears long after I’ve gone to bed
I thank the Lord for making me deaf
I thank God that I’m one of his miracles
Oh, what a tiny, silent world
I live in today?
Oh, what more beautiful language
Is there other than sign language?
What more beautiful sound
Is there other than silence?
Oh my! Nothing is better to me.
Small, silent world
It’s my deaf world!
