With the deaf group that I typically go out with around here (there's 4 of us usually), somehow over the years I've become the interpreter/spokesperson of the group. I'm not quite sure how it happened, but I never make it a point to order for them. I'll tell them what the waiter/waitress said, then allow them the chance to make the order for themselves. If the waiter/waitress looks at me for clarification, I'll look at whoever made the order so they get the hint to repeat what they said. Although, sometimes they wont be looking up at the waiter/waitress when they make the order, so sometimes I'll discreetly sign tell them again. But whether or not it makes them angry or annoyed, they've never said anything. At least, I hope I haven't pissed them off doing so.
