Unable to scream or cry for help, she was raped five times during a two-week period earlier this year, she claimed in a police report.

The 30-year-old woman had been living alone in a flat in Taman Puchong Permai. She had known the suspect, who worked in the same Shah Alam electronics factory for about a year, according to a source.

The first alleged incident was on May 20. She claimed she had forgotten to lock the front door before falling asleep in the living room.

She woke up when the suspect, who is 25, allegedly forced himself on her, the source said.

She accused him of four other rapes between then and May 31, claiming she could not stop him because he had cast a spell on her.

After moving home to live with her mother in Pantai Dalam, she discovered she was pregnant. On Sunday, her sister took her to the Puchong police station to lodge a report.

The man is believed to have fled to East Malaysia on learning that the victim has become pregnant.

Police have contacted their counterparts in East Malaysia for assistance.

Selangor deputy CID chief Assistant Commissioner Chee Cheng Wan confirmed the case but declined to elaborate.
