Deaf, Mute, At-Risk Woman Reported Missing - Bakersfield News Story - KERO Bakersfield
Deputies are on the lookout for a 50-year-old at-risk woman who has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old.
On Wednesday around 1:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Ethrum Avenue for a missing persons report.
Deputies were told that Mary Villa, 50, was last seen at 8 a.m., at the home on Ethrum Avenue.
Villa is described as Hispanic with black hair, brown eyes. She is said to be 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.
Villa was last seen wearing a white jacket, tan shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, carrying a black bag.
An extensive search of the area was conducted and Villa was not located, deputies said.
Deputies said Villa suffers from hallucinations and is deaf and mute with a mental capacity of a 5-year-old.
Villa has the tattoo “Michael” on one leg and the tattoo “Cynthia” on the other leg.
Villa is considered to be an at-risk missing person.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mary Villa is urged to call the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110.
