Deaf-mute arrested in Mandaue checkpoint - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos
A MALE deaf-mute was arrested by police after he was found bringing kilos of ammonium nitrate, an ingredient used for making explosives.
Rolly Relampagos, a native of Bohol province, was aboard a jeepney when caught with the items during a checkpoint in barangay Looc, Mandaue City around 8 p.m. on Monday.
Police said Relampagos was identified when he was told to write his name.
Police said Relampagos claimed that he came from Lapu-Lapu City where a man asked him to bring the ammonium nitrate to Bohol.
