Hello everybody. My name is Darnell. I wanted to tell you about a fundraiser that I recently launched on Kickstarter.com to help benefit the deaf and hard of hearing.
To tell you about myself, I am a hearing impaired individual with a profound hearing loss. I am currently in the process of developing an organization I founded called ‘H.E.A.R. Me Out’. The purpose of H.E.A.R. Me Out is to connect hearing impaired adults to the resources they need to help them overcome challenges with their disability. Our vision is to improve access to the educational and economical opportunities for adults that are hearing impaired.
As mentioned, I recently launched a project on Kickstarter.com to help raise money for finishing a music project. The project called Beautiful Chaos is a poetry CD that I produced despite having my hearing disability. The CD will be sold to raise money and awareness for building my organization.
I thought I'd run this by anyone here to see if you would be interested in helping out in any kind of way. Perhaps there are some outlets that you guys think would be interested in knowing about this fundraiser.
I have an official press release and digital flyer for anyone that is interested.
