I think deaf people should be given a discount on all video media - including, but not limited to - video games in the proportion of how much relevant audio is not accessible.
Examples:
DOOM3 has no subtitles from the software developers (there's a mod, but it only works on Windows, and no other mods, such as ROE or MITM have captions). Cost for deaf: $0.
Deus Ex is missing about 20% of audio cues. Cost for deaf: 20% off.
Hulu's content is about 20% accessible the deaf. Subscriptions for deaf people should be 80% off.
I'm just picking numbers out of the air for illustration. I'd like to see this become law. If companies want to achieve more profit in an honest way, they will have no choice but to work for it. You know, they'd have to have more integrity, which they hate. :-P
