Just returned from Deaf Coffee - first time I went to that, am glad I went!

Haven't found one in this area since I just moved here in June. I know there are a few places that have a LOT of activities and maybe I need to check them out. Just have to find the time with all of the family obligations.

What is a Deaf Coffee, Dogmom? Is that at a public place where there are Deaf people talking over coffee? Or is that online? Years ago, I went to the Hearing Society in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a young adult for a Deaf club where we had coffees and we just signed (chatted) anything we wanted to say. :hmm:

Pretty much a deaf gathering at a local coffee shop.
I've heard 300+ deafies getting it together at a starbucks!!!
Imagine a small cafe with 300 people coming at the same time.:laugh2:

Wow, that is amazing. No, I could not imagine that many Deafies like 300 people in a small cafe (coffee shop). Thank you for explaining to me about that. I have never went to Starbucks or a deaf gathering at a coffee shop. I only attended Social Events in a small city on the mainland outside of the island where I live. Very interesting and enlightening. :cool2:
