Deaf Children Can Sing! | KING5.com Seattle
Washington State Hands and Voices is an organization that provides support to families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing in Washington State - regardless of communication modality. On May 21, 2011, Hands and Voices had a talent show/walkathon in West Seattle. The young children who participated included a group from Listen and Talk, a nonprofit preschool program based in Maple Leaf, that helps children with hearing loss learn to communicate through listening and spoken language. This video clip shows the peformance of the Listen and Talk preschool kids. They all have severe to profound hearing loss and benefit from hearing aids and/or cochlear implants.
