Deaf children are bowled over - Peterborough Today
TWENTY people were treated to a slap-up meal and game of 10-pin bowling over the festive season.
The event at AMF Bowling, in Bretton, Peterborough, was organised by Peterborough and District Deaf Children’s Society (PDDCS), for deaf children who use some speech and sign language.
Youth worker Nicola Epathite said: “We organise different events throughout the year that the children and their families can take part in.
“We are very fortunate that many of the deaf adults in Peterborough like to get involved, as this offers valuable role models for the children to look up to and aspire to be like.”
