ORCUTT, Calif. -- A fragile dog kicked out of a local park because of its size. The owner takes "Billy" to Woof Park where a sign used to allow 'small and timid' dogs. But now that sign reads 'small dogs' only.

Marty Niles says her dog Billy has been going to the small dog park at Waller Park for more than a year but was kicked out last week because he was too big.

For Niles, it's a struggle just to get Billy out of the car. "He can't see," says Niles. "He bumps into the walls." This is Billy's favorite park but last week, Niles says Billy was kicked out.

"A park ranger showed up and said this is for small dogs only and tried to explain to the park ranger that Bill is not only deaf but he's nearly totally blind," says Niles. "The sign on the park which has been changed and it did say 'small or timid' dogs."

Now, the sign only read 'small dogs' which is a huge problem for Billy.

Thirteen-year-old Billy is deaf and blind and Marty says he's too fragile to interact with aggressive larger dogs.

"(He) was jumped on in the large dog park and put to the ground because he's old," says Niles. "He just can't protect himself."

She says there needs to be an area for older, larger dogs.

"We said 'then perhaps you can divide the 'small dog' park into two for old, timid, crippled, blind, deaf dogs and his response was 'well, that would be age discrimination' tongue-in-cheek, of course, so yeah, we're not really happy about it."

The Santa Barbara County Parks Office who say they changed the sign at the suggestion of another dog park users but say they will review the incident with advisor rangers next week.

In the news video, I see three other large dogs there running around. WTF? It's not fair. Lets hope they will let poor Billy back in soon.

Including me, your parents, Jiro, Reba and others? Just kidding, I know that you meant those people who made the suggestion.

might be prudent to be less offensive next time. I don't find this remotely humorous.
