The Organisation of Deaf Business Men and Women in Nigeria (ODBMWIN) has commended the untiring efforts of The Sun in producing what the group called “hidden, but true stories and news to the delight of the public.”

President of the organisation, Afolabi Dahunsi gave the commendation in a letter dated September 6 and addressed to The Sun Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Mr Mike Awoyinfa.

The group stated that the ODBMWIN had been monitoring the progress of The Sun team leaders from their Concord days, while expressing gratitude to God that “the light has not burnt out.”
“The Sun newspapers have rekindled this light and it is now even brighter than before,” the letter stated, praying: “May your shadows not diminish, and more grease to your elbows.”

The letter pointed out that being hearing impaired members of the ODBMWIN depended on printed materials especially newspapers and magazines for their daily knowledge of events. It added that they preferred The Sun newspapers to others due to its balanced coverage.
