Deaf Awareness Day To Be Held

Ocean County College's Interpreter Training Program (ITP) is proud to announce its Deaf Awareness Day 2007 will be on October 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the gymnasium and a special concert at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. All events take place on the OCC Main Campus, College Drive. Come and enjoy the fun and entertainment. All events are open to the public!

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., various vendors will be set up with live entertainment by Timbo the Clown. At 10 a.m., there will be a Charlie the Chimp safety program for kids; at 11:30 a.m., Trix Bruce and at 1 p.m., Professor Glickman. It will be held at the OCC gymnasium and admission is free.

At 7 p.m., they will have the American Sign Language Rock 'n' Roll Show at the Fine Arts Center Theatre. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children under 12 and students with ID, including refreshments and desserts. (Please note: Some songs include adult content!)
