A remake of the classic black-and-white movie from the 1950s-60s, with a totally different plot and characters is now released into theatres and I've seen it tonight and you wanna know my review for this movie?

Well, first of all, the opening of the movie was quite interesting, but as it gets deeper and deeper in the middle, things get kind of rough, and confusing...and at the end, it wasn't a happy ending but it was just some kind of "mini luck ending"...or whatever you wanna call it...the whole movie sucked, okay? I'm sorry, little horror freaks but this isn't the one that other horror freaks might recommend you to see, with a movie filled with meat-obsessed fast moving hungry zombies who are infected with some kind of hazard virus, as the zombie loves to eat you alive, but as you run away for safety and you've been bitten unexpectly, it's obivious what's goin to happen next. TA-DA! you are another zombie! I mean, c'mon...the plot with MORE THAN JUST ZOMBIES would proably be more interesting, believe me. I just happen to believe that the orginal movie with the same name is alot better than the remake...because the story sounds more smarter and challenging than the remake. But, the remake is much more violent, and so much blood shed it wont stop until ALL of them are dead...and the zombies are even fast like hound dogs! seriously, this isn't worth the ticket to see the 1 hour and 45 min horror flick where it's just a bunch of people running around to survive and avoid being EATEN alive by hungry meat lovers. of course, even when I went into the theatres, it was TOTALLY crowed...didn't think that there would be so many people coming to see this lol and yet, the movie was a major disappointment so I bet many ppl wanted their money back but it's too late for that anyway...sad, eh? so...just a little warning, folks dont waste your cash on something that isn't even worth the while.

Have a good evening.

Actually, the original was released in 1978 and it was in colour.

The one you're thinking of is the first movie in the trilogy, Night of the Living Dead which was released in 1968. There was also a remake of the original that was released in 1990. The remake is pretty well-made though.

I saw the Dawn of the Dead remake tonight, and I have to say that it stayed pretty faithful to the original Dawn of the Dead. Apparently, you may not be into cult classics like I am.

To check out more cult classics, try Near Dark. It's a great one.

I wouldn't mind watching that movie. I've never seen the classic edition though.

To be honest, I haven't seen the Dawn of the Dead nor the Night of the Living Dead. But I did see 'Near Dark' and liked it. Kathryn Bigelow did a great job directing the fantastic cast in the movie. :)

awww shit your right...I though of the wrong movie lol sorry they just look so much alike even though those two were all about zombies...so anyway, thanks for clearing this up :D

Question, did you see it in captioning or did you just watch it for the sake of watching it?

for the sake of watching it, yes.

I would really understand the whole movie if it was in CC, though but sometimes I can understand just about half through the movie when I read their lips and stuff like that

I really really want to see this.....Ebert (as in Roper and Ebert the critics for the Chicago Sun Times) really liked it and he HATES horror movies. I should have gone to see it as I've been bored out of my skull this week (been on break )

i was surprised discovering from TV news
that this movie "Dawn of the Dead" is now
becoming the number one profits more
than "The Passion of the Christ"
which is now becoming a number 2.
