I am new to this site and I am trying to get the company I work for to bring out a new sim card. So was wondering what you all think about the idea?
First a little about me, I used to work in IT at DCAL in London and now work for a Telecom company in Holland.
But I also have a older brother thats Deaf so I think I can safely say I know a little about Deaf peoples needs
My idea is a sim card that has only Data and texts, this would be a Pay as u go service. But what my main thing I am going to press for, is that the customer support is not just a telephone number. Which I know is something that drives Deaf people crazy either having to get a friend to call for them or go through textphones.
I want the support to be via skype etc.. and you would get to sign the problem direct with a BSL, ASL etc.. user.
Please let me know you ideas.
