Dar Al Atta donates RO1,500 to deaf students at Al Amal School | Dar Al Atta | AMEinfo.com

Dar Al Atta has donated OR 1,500 to the Al Amal School for deaf students enabling them to purchase batteries for the hearing aids of all 221 students so that they can continue their learning and development in the months ahead.

This will be the third time that the Al Amal School for the deaf has received a donation from Dar Al Atta, the Omani based charity that works hard to provide a better standard of living for those less fortunate living within the Sultanate basic provisions such as food, housing, clothing and education.

Faiyza Al Raiesi, a teacher at the Al Amal School for the Deaf said; "We are truly delighted that Dar Al Atta has once again been able to help us to provide such a necessity for the children here at the Al Amal School. The batteries that power the hearing aids are a fundamental part of the children's development - we are very grateful to Dar Al Atta for the help and support they continue to provide to the school which plays such an important role in the lives of all students and their families."

The donation was made to the school by Mrs Samira Sultan the Head of the School Care Committee in Dar Al Atta. Mrs Samira Sultan said: "It gives us great pleasure to donate the OR 1,500 to the Al Amal School for the deaf and we hope that this will enable great learning and development for all of the students attending the school.

The batteries will enable the children to communicate more easily with hearing members of their families and the local community which is such a core part of the learning process. We hope that the students will benefit greatly from the donation and look forward to seeing how they develop throughout the year."

Dar Al Atta is a Muscat based non-profit voluntary organisation which was set up in 2002. They endeavour to better the lives of those less fortunate than themselves both in the capital area and beyond. The group periodically organizes fundraising events in order to be able to reach their goals and to enrich the lives of others.
