Ahh thanks for your advice! I havent taken Amtrak to California since I was a youngster. So I am excited about this trip. Will definitely use your advice

But what is Deaf Discount????? They give you discount because you are deaf?

Yes, there is a "deaf discount". I found that out when I called to get my deaf GF a ticket. It is 15% off compared to AAA 10% off. It isn't too late to get the discount.

There is no need for a train to promote gambling which leads to gambling addiction.

Ways to not be bored on a train if you are by yourself:
Read (magazines, newspapers, books, writing on bathroom walls, etc.)
Look out window and marvel at landscape of the USA
Visit with fellow passengers (maybe you will meet someone who will help you with your sexual frustrations )
Knit a sweater
Play on laptop computer (wireless of course! be sure to bring the recharger)
Play with hand-held games (i.e., Solitaire, Poker, Yahtzee--just make sure the sound is off else someone throws you off the train)
Sleep
Eat

But amtrak doesnt treat you that way.Amtrak only ask for your drivers licence and thats it. I shouldnt be searched like a criminal.
