Culturally Deaf vs deaf: differences

I'd be lying through my teeth if recent observations haven't had much to do with this topic. To be honest, some feedback from small talk got me thinking again but this time it gave me the balls to post this thread. I had been thinking and discussed it privately with other fellows in the past, but laid off from posting about it.

I noticed they (Big D's) don't seem to participate as much in contrast to our late deafened or little d peers for certain topics, but I am VERY very certain their eyes are watching everyone posting, not just here but on facebook and possibly real life too. I had my ways in the past of sleuthing it out (don't ask, old stuff too much to explain). It seems they don't want to get involved in certain things.

So the question is why?

I believe that is the case - watching everyone posting. For big Ds I think it is like "being there, done that". Perhaps they are letting the little ds have their time in the ring. It a process that allows little ds to find their wings in the world of Deafness, to earn their 'identity badge' so to say. I really appreciate the support big Ds have given me as a 'late-comer' to the Deaf community and culture.

I do read the topics (political) and try to get a better insight to others opinions. Some I agree with, some I don't. What I don't agree with, is a poster/responder making those little "snide" remarks and the bullying whenever someone responds. Sure, that responder may be better educated, may be hearing. But the lack of "class" is what bothers me!
And yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of us are capable of forming our own opinions, but have a little "trouble" stating it, I, for one, and the simple reason that some people enjoy bullying and making snide remarks or shooting the responder down!....
