There's an adapter that you can use the GameCube controllers into the N64 console for better gameplay since the GC controller is smaller and more comfortable than the N64 controller.

because you dont have to use a rumble pak for the controller since it has a built in rumble feature and has faster response and is much more comfortable than the N64 controller.
