CSD Announcement

The countdown stopped working for me. It's stuck at around 23 minutes. Anyone living in Central Time Zone knows what is the announcement all about? :S

EDIT: Oh wait, if you keep hitting the RELOAD, you can see the minutes slowly diminishing.

Its not 2pm central time yet! The countdown clock that you see is really from your clock not CSD, You are in Eastern time. So... wait 45 minutes

Okay, it's past 2 pm. What's up? Doesn't work. :(

Looks like an announcement has been made, new, 9th VRS now available. Called CSDVRS.COM. I think that is what the deal is about. sigh

Ah, I see....

Limited scheduled time proves the lack of equal accommodation...
Look at hearing people they can make cell phone calls
anytime 24 hours. Un-equal access for us (deaf callers)... Sigh.
Therefore, All VRS should be made available for 24 hours.

24/7

I believe EVENTUALLY we will be seeing more and more VRS offer around the clock services, with possiblity of 911 service involved. 15 years ago, we didn't have this luxury. So, according to Moore's law... Technology doubles every 18 months. This has proven true over and over since mid 19th century.

Eh, CSD provided our DLink VP and router for use with SprintVRS. We already setup a SprintVRS account with their toll free phone and extenstion numbers.

We really don't see the point of switching incoming VRS service providers and handing out a different set of numbers.

BTW: A 24 hr callback service doesn't sound all that great. :roll:

Well, the deaf lady in the CSD Intro video said that their service would respond to our calls right away. They also say that they have the finest interpreters thruout their 7 call centers. How? They made arrangements at each of the call centers' locales and scheduled interpreters to work for them without usurping the local need for interpreters. If this is so, I'd say that was considerate of them.

My opinion on CSDVRS... So far, they have good connection speed. I wait for a minute once, and that was longest I waited for them. Still too early, my concern was if CSDVRS became so popular, then we might have same problem with them just like with Sorenson. So, time will tell.

LOL! SorensonVRS is either already opening or will open the following new VRS Call Centers:

* Tampa, FL
* Philadelphia, PA
* Milwaukee, WI
* Columbus, OH
* Ann Arbor, MI
* Dallas Fort Worth, TX
* Boston, MA
* Indianapolis, IN
* Charlotte, NC
* Albuquerque, NM
* Manhattan, NY

For sure, the call response time will be cut shorter.
