Rule #1 - you are always at risk when handling a wild animal.
that "baby croc" can twist off his fingers/hands like a paper towel with a death roll. and its tail whip is strong enough to leave a scar on his face.
His parents, their choice. Everyone assumes a risk driving as well, not that it's going to stop anyone...it's probably more dangerous being in a car than handling a baby croc....
