Critics blast Jackson, Sharpton over silence on Florida school bus beating

Not a good idea. The end result would not be good. It's creating excuses for them and to get away with it. What ignorance.

maybe the school administrator looked the other way when those 3 were reported for dealing drugs due to this executive order? (It was passed in 2012)

Law of unintended consequences. For a guy who can't tell the difference the Gulf states , everything he touches turns to mush.

I think your first article is extremely biased. :aw:

No, if 3 black boys weren't punished so they won't attack on white boy.

They got punished at school and they became angry to attack on white boy as revenge (retaliate).

I am sure the article is biased. I would be too. Those 3 boys didn't appear to have been punished. If they had, they wouldn't be riding on the bus.

I just watched Fox News about the incident. It reported that there will be lawsuits against the school so I am right about that. The reason is that the school was supposed to be responsible to protect a whistleblower but it FAILED. Next, a school adm whomever the boy reported it to will be fired. You just watch. Know what? All kids who plan to tell on the dealers will not want to tell on them anymore because of this incident. That's a ****ing shame. Meaning that students don't trust their school adm any longer.

There are numerous situation with schools aren't reported to media - you should know.

I doubt that school admin will be fired but they took much responsibility to deal with troubled students at alternative school (many bad/disadvantage students).

Now after incident, the school will no longer to put troubled teens in same bus as victim - they learned their lesson.

You wouldn't know if 3 black boys were punished because it is confidential (private).

If they weren't punished so they won't attack on white boy who reported to school admin - based on my experience as former HS student.

It is usual for school to send troubled teens to home via school bus.

Nope. Drug dealers are arrested. unless of course, they have "protected class status". And drug dealers should never ever have that status ... ever.

I think you are misunderstood.

The school already took care of situation about 3 black guys who attempted to drug dealing with white boy in restroom and it already did after white boy reported to school admin. After reported, 3 black boys got punished at school and got in school bus after school was over.

3 black boys got arrested AFTER they beat white boy in school bus.

When they should have been arrested for dealing drugs, especially on school property (which they weren't arrested for). Why were they not arrested? If a video was never released showing them beating the 13 year old ... you and I would never have even heard about this.

Not all schools are doing like that - some of them deal with situation in-house and they turn any confiscated drugs to LEO.

At my old HS, there were several teens did sell the weeds and they got caught. The school put them in detention hall until school was over and the parent were notified too. They will send students to home if they were too high, if not picked by parent so turn to LEO.

And none of those "punishments' were done. The three boys were riding the bus home. Their parents did not come and pick them up, and they were not in detention since they were on the bus home. :hmm:

The Police Chief made no mention that the police were notified about the incident until after the beating took place.

The punishment at school will be detention or in school suspension.

If it is in school suspension, the students go home on school bus after school is over.

Both of you and I have no knowledge if they were punished or not because the news didn't reported.

In my mind, when they were punished so they will attack on someone who did report to school admin - that was very common when I was HS student.

The school is probably too slow to keep touch with police department.

You need to re-think.

One of three thugs tried to sell weed to a kid in the bathroom.

The kid reported it to an administer or a staff (teacher) who reported it to the adm.

The adm talked to the dealer and asked if he did that. He said no and the adm believed him since the police was not called and/or his parents were not called to pick him up.

I never heard of students who get expelled getting on the bus. Whenever a student gets expelled, the school MUST call the parents to come get their kid out immediately after important paperworks are done. If it was about drugs, a student must be arrested so it will go into record.

Now, if he admitted selling weed and the adm didn't call the police (discipline him instead such as suspension), he would sell it again and again when he goes back to school.

Since I have two kids, I know more than you do. My son was suspended for one day because of dress code violation. The school called me to take him home immediately. My daughter was suspended for one day because her hair dye was not allowed due to mulit-color. Again the school called me to get her out right away. The school won't let my kids stay at school during one-day suspension.

If a parent is working and the school calls her/him, she/he must leave work to pick the suspended kid up.

So what? It's the admin's job to handle those things. No excuse!

I don't give a shit whether they learned the lesson or not. The boy was in PAIN. The bus driver was not at fault but only the admin is at fault.

Beside of your hypothesis, there isn't enough detail in the article about 3 black thugs were punished or not - due to confidential for some reason.

The policies are different from school to school - it is not same as your school. At my old school, the drug offense will result in school suspension for first time and students will ride on bus after school hour is over. The expulsion is usually reserved for repeat offenses.

I don't think 3 black thugs were expelled and we don't know about their record, also we don't know if school take care of situation after report about selling drugs in restroom. The expulsion usually require admin hearing and it will take few to several days to finalize.

Why victim boy's parent sent him to bad school? His parent is partially fault because they sent their child to alternative school because he is struggling with regular education. The school district didn't build a new special school for good students who are struggling with schoolworks and other alternative school is limited to bad students only.

The suspension over hair dye is ridiculous. :aw:

BTW, I was former HS student and the drug issue were common.

There is no instant relief from school admin when they have deal with numerous situation - blame on school district.

Simple - Don't send your kids to school if you know this school is bad.

If the admin contacted the district regarding drug dealing and the district told her to let him go, then I don't blame the admin who followed its instruction. However, if she didn't, then she is to blame for the boy's pain. Everyone said so.

If the school is bad, where the hell are guards? The guards' job is to protect the students and catch drug dealers in school.

The school district completely control the school admin and they have to follow the district school's policy. I don't know if school district prevent the school admin to contact police department. The school is located in different city - Lealman and the bus incident occurred in Gulfport.

The school district didn't deploy the guards. :dunno:
