LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Former "Friends" star Courteney Cox and her husband, actor David Arquette, became parents early Sunday, after years of trying, People magazine reported.

Cox, who turns 40 Tuesday, gave birth to a girl in an unidentified Los Angeles hospital, according to a report on the Web site for People magazine, http://www.people.com.

The magazine said Cox checked into the hospital Saturday, a week before the baby's due date and was in labor through the night. The baby has yet to be named, it said.

Cox and Arquette, 32, have been widely quoted discussing their attempts to carry a baby to term.

Cox has just finished the 10th and final season of NBC's popular sitcom, "Friends." The couple are co-producers of a home decorating show, "Mix It Up

I almost thought that they were going to name their baby girl after CoJo (aka - Steven Cojocaru).. Whew, they planning to name her CoCo. I was like "What the world they are thinking to name their daughter CoCo".. :dizzy:
 
WTF!? "Coco"!? I feel sorry for the kid when he's grown up. He's gonna be the laughingstock of the whole school! "Hey, look at COCO!" Sounds like a monkey or a character out of Final Fantasy! :eek:
 
I know, that is what I am afraid of it.. Coco, that is not funny name for a girl, it is laughstocking name or something. Poor this little girl....

That is the same thing for Gwenyth Paltrow, she named her baby daughter, Apple! Think about it.. "Hey, Look at Apple!!" :eek2:

Second.... :wtf: Coco??!! That was the name of my aunt's HORSE a long time ago!! :crazy:

LOL yeah my friend's dog's name is Coco..
 
"Coco" is Spanish for "monster"..

So, you've FINALLY noticed celebs naming their babies strange names?? Got news for ya, it's the growing trend nowadays to name babies different names than the norm.

yeah I think the celebs are trying to be DIFFERENT but names are screwed. IMO.. poor kids!
 
This reminds me of a joke...
A psychiatrist was conducting a group therapy session with four young mothers and their small children. "You all have obsessions," he observed.

To the first mother he said, "You are obsessed with eating. You even named your daughter Candy."

He turned to the second mom. "Your obsession is money. Again, it manifests itself in your child's name, Penny."

He turned to the third mom. "Your obsession is alcohol and your child's name is Brandy."

Now, it's starting to make me think that Courtney Cox has an obsession with chocolate! :crazy:
 
I don't think CoCo's a bad name -- I have a friend who I went to school with who had a nick name of CoCo -- and it suited her better than her birth name. :)
 
CoCo's not so bad compared to Apple and other names.

Maybe Courtney Cox and her hubby chose CoCo after the designer Coco Chanel.. :dunno:

Though it does remind me of coco pops :lol:
