Cops arrest man for robbing deaf people
Police have arrested one man involved in robbing three deaf victims in the 5000 block of Edinborough Lane early Thursday morning.
Jerid Ross, 20, of Indianapolis, was armed with a handgun when he and a white male forced their way into the victims' apartment, demanding money and other items. Nearly $4,000 of property was taken, including laptops, a 22-inch LCD TV, cell phones, PS3 video game console and games, video phones, and a firearm.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police saw Ross walking a few blocks from where the robbery occurred. He ran to a nearby Denny's parking lot, then stopped and threw his hands in the air as police were approaching him. A handgun and the stolen cell phones were found on the ground several feet away.
Police are still searching for the other suspect involved.
