"He deliberately, systematically violated the law. He is not King, he is President."

U.S. Rep.John Lewis said Monday in a radio interview that President Bush should be impeached if he broke the law in authorizing spying on Americans...
Lewis is the first major House figure to suggest impeaching Bush..."

Do not grieve for Bush. He is far worse than utterly useless, he is a clear DANGER to our liberties.
He has got to go.
What with all the indictments of his inner circle, the the new revelation that the guy he wants on the Supreme Court would look the other way in illegal spying on us, it won't be too difficult to get rid of him.
The right push at the right time will make the house of cards come tumbling down.

I emailed Lewis a few days ago applauding his courage.
You can do the same by emailing him at

We CAN take our beautiful country back!

this country is already ugly beore Bush and his father exist.

Remember 1986-1987? Machine gunning UZI and AK 47 gang wars going on everyday and every night? Armed robbery was everywhere. Epidemic crack smoking and selling problem ? Prostitution at an all time high? Governments doing Black ops and nobody knew what was going on? The US/Mexican border was so dangerous. Medellin and Cali Cartel wars going on. Illegal Fistfights to the death for money. It Was Bad !!!! Nothing like today. :)

Heath,

Are you sure that we've improved? Our memory does play quite a few tricks on us. Wikipedia has a wonderful list of cognitive biases: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cognitive_biases.

I'm not disagreeing with you. In fact, you could be right. I was just a wee tot when the eighties were around. But I do question our capacity to judge and compare the past and present.

Hey guess what? Were going back to 1994 in my hometown when bullets flew a lot more than the birds.

Richard

My family lived in the urban area for years then moved to rural and they love living in the countryside... as for me I like the peace and quiet but none Deaf to talk to really and prefer big city for Deaf social and better jobs.

Yeah, didn't gold go to something like 500 buks and silver somewhere around a hunnert in that era? But isn't that also disguised....like, I mean gold/silver being in the stratosphere indicates rampant inflation, no?

Vfr, I said jerk ass to show how basic your comments are and unlike you, I have family actually in US Military and L.E. I wonder what the LE guys would think since you just trashed and badmouthed the LEO's in another thread and you just work in a bike shop where LE officers are nice enough to bring their bikes to you for motorcycle repairs and you show no respect towards the LE officers in another threads who fight very hard to keep evil people away from you. If you had any respect for the LEO's then you would not break the law and not give the LEO's a bad time when they arrest and search you and you complain about ID or speeding ticket when you really actually were speeding right before the LEO's own eyes!!!!!! :ugh:

FYI Before 1955 was the best time for the policeman. Not the 1980's. :)

I think you are the one who is the know it all and wanna be a Marine... and I do not know everything and am always learning and I have Marines in my family unlike you do and I pray one day to be healed of deafness by the Lord Jesus Christ and enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. There are thousands upon thousands of people who could not do things they could do and are healed by the Lord Jesus Christ then go onto taking a job that was traditionally denied to them because of their disablity. So think twice about that. :)

This is off point, so forgive me.

But heath, if you want to be a marine and they deny you admission because you're deaf, why not pursue legal recourse? Certain movements (women, for example) have been able to push ahead and gain a foothold in the armed forces.

You could raise a big stink about it. I'd support you, even if it turns out to be a losing bid. I can see it. The supreme court: Heath vs. Bush, et al, 117 U.S. 239 (2006).

When I was in high school I wanted to be an army ranger. Then my parents talked me out of it and I went to college instead. Besides, the army would have never taken me as a deaf person. I remember I once knew an Aviation Ordinancewoman, Third Class from the Navy; she told me she wished she went to college instead. Strange how that works out. :dunno:

Jesus isn't granting any miracles. In the scope of the Christian mythology, if miracles do occur in the present, it is God granting them, not Jesus.

That said, you really need to work on your attitude. You don't need to be so inflamatory. I'd suggest that you work on coming to terms with your being deaf rather than praying for something that will never happen.

Some of us are actually ok with being dhh. You're deaf. Accept it and move on. Don't take your self-loathing out on other people.

Rich, are you urban or rural?

Urban. It sucks tho but its good if youre into real estate. How else does a $30,000 investment on a condo turn into a $270,000 shoebox in 15 yrs?

What? Are you kidding me? Were you even alive during that period? Heaven help you if you were a woman or a minority before the 60's. Let's look back before the 50's:

1) Organized crime was empowered through Prohibition. More and more people went to crime because Congress wanted to legislate morality. Very unpopular laws were passed in the name of making Americans more "Christian."

2) Empowering and hiring of family members instead of qualified and trained people in law enforcement was common. You'd be stuck with a officer of the likes of Barney instead of Andy Griffith, and there wasn't a thing you could do because he was family to the police in the area.

3) Education wasn't important to the field of law enforcement. Investigating crimes? Just point at someone and arrest them. Form a posse and deputize people and they'll hunt down people for you. It was only later in the 20th century when a movement started to have policemen/women hired because of their smarts, not their brawn.

Be careful wishing for the "days gone by." Things really are NOT better in the old days.

I pray one day to be healed of deafness by the Lord Jesus Christ and enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. There are thousands upon thousands of people who could not do things they could do and are healed by the Lord Jesus Christ then go onto taking a job that was traditionally denied to them because of their disablity.

Okayyyyyyyy.......... You go right ahead and keep hoping that'll happen. Let us know when you're hearing again. We'll be waiting. We're not holding our breath.

Besides, there aren't very many people who were "healed" by prayer. They probably had the benefit of modern medical technology, which many fundamentalists believe is against God's will. Yeah, uh huh, God didn't want for us to have the ability to cure people (why isn't that his will?) or mess with genetics (why isn't that his will, again?) or feed the hungry (why would that BE AGAINST HIS WILL?)

I'm a "fundamentalist" and I have never heard any preaching against modern medical technology. We have doctors in our church membership, and we have medical missionaries. Luke was a physician. Medicine is a respected career for Christians.

... or feed the hungry (why would that BE AGAINST HIS WILL?)
Where did you get that weird idea? Christian organizations and individuals are major supporters of feeding the hungry, just as Christ ordered. Have you never heard of Salvation Army soup kitchens, Water Missions International, urban rescue missions, etc.?
