that was a response to Foxrac's post. The day I accuse you of having ill-informed, uneducated opinion is when the flock of flying pigs downed a plane coming out of LaGuardia Airport.

You seem to have a distrust of Obama..what has he done to deserve your distrust?
 
It is possible it will take Obama 4 years to clean up the mess Bush is leaving behind. So, we may not see much results in the first year or so...I think best to save complaining until after his first term.
 
Hm... well, thankfully, I don't vote him (no I don't vote McCain. I actually voted Barr). Sure, he seems so cool president but I doubt his promises that he able to keep... well, I hope he don't disappoint us... I pray he make up his mind for good decisions.

Actually, Socialism is a form of government that takes disproportionate amount of money from those who make more, and gives more money to those who don't make any. In other words, "spreading the wealth around". Obama said his plan was exactly that in his own words.

I had a long post typed up last night, but couldn't access this website after my last post through the whole night..... servers crash or something?

oh sorry to hear about your long post disappearing. You know when your browser has some error page... you can just leave it on until AD comes back and then you can refresh the page. It'll submit your post.

anyway... about what you just said - ok now how is that different from Communism? or Marxism?

Obama is democratic, socialism views are part of democratic party as well.

USA can't to be pure capitalism like back in before 1930's when FDR created some social programs to help people.

Socialism is much more complicated than that.

Sorry, Foxrac, but socialist views are socialist. Democratic views are democratic. They are separate forms of government.

Of course you can't understand my post and i didn't even say anything funny in it. But what's funny is that you do not understand EXACTLY what is a socialism. You didn't even grasp the simple definition of socialism correctly!!!

beside - what the heck is pure capitalism anyway? no such thing :dunno: please stop inventing the political term. It's nothing but a hyperbole. I had to ask my political expert friend and he said - "wtf is that supposed to mean?"

There are many differences. Too many to list on this forum. That is the stuff that entire books have been written about. But for starters, people in a socialist system don't necessarily have any imput into the system, such as elections for their leader, votes on levies, etc.

Maybe you are confusing a "social conscious" with socialism?
