Community college grads out-earn bachelor's degree holders

That's part of true. One of student who went to Art of Institute that cost 3 times than community college to pay for get in. However, the education appear to be same as community college. Sad.
 
The problem with articles like this is that it floods the market with people trying to get into that field. The colleges are supposed to control supply, but most just take student money and pump out grads to a flooded workforce.

The Computer Engineering/IT field was flooded in the late 1990's with people who came from other background, only to have those people laid off first during the technology recession.

Across the board salaries are not going up, we are still in a depression.
 
In a crap economy hands on experience trumps all.

I'm a HS grad who earned my way to an engineer position after 4 years at my current job. I've been there 7 years now. (14 years exp in my field)

It didn't hurt that the three degree holding engineers I moved ahead of were simply clueless in regard to anything useful.
