Communication contest winners announced | GoUpstate.com
The Breakfast Optimist Club of Spartanburg recently announced its results in the Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing held on April 8 at the S.C. School for the Deaf and the Blind.
The topic was: “Cyber Communication: Progress or Problem?”
Eight contestants participated in the contest. The winners were Brianna Crayton, first place, $100 and certificate; Jane Enabore, second place, $50 and certificate; and Victoria Duncan, third place, $25 and certificate. The other five contestants receiving certificates were James Ivey, Matthew Wright, Tiffany Harrison, Nallely Ayala and Chelsea Span.
The students presented their speech in sign language, orally or using a combination of both. There was an interpreter for the audience that attended the contest.
