half those names, I rarely ever associate when seeing those colors.

I have partial color blindness, so I would agree with the male side. Does this mean then that men have partial color blindness? :hmm:

My mother had a brother that was color blind. And when I was a little girl for some reason I got the colors orange and green mixed up! I also had woman cousin on my mother side that color blind. It 's interesting that none mom grandkids or greatgrandkids are color blind.

Only some women (not men) have four color cones in their eyes to see colors.

Men have RGB, Red, Green, Blue.

Some women have ROGB. Red, Orangeish, Green, Blue.

That is why they can discern shades of colors better than men.

I have walls painted in a color similar to seafoam. The room has windows on all sides. Depending on the time of day and season, the walls look blue or green.

I thought that women have this ability because women pick out lipstick and nail polish colors. You know, there are so many shades of pink and red.

Look at it this way

Guys only know the colors of their college and/or pro football team!

I can tell different shades of color very distinctively. I don't like all the stupid names for it. "Seafoam?" What the hell is that? It's a lighter shade of blue, not f'ing "seafoam". lol

Do I care about the different shades of color? Not really. It's just a scientific detail to me.
