Cochlear implants: miracle or an attack on "deaf culture"?

As your opinion, that is fine but you made other remarks that forced me to clarify your statements.

I simply disagree with you over your concept of freedom. I have more of it with my CI than I ever did with my HA in my past life.

As they say, I will agree to disagree and leave it at that.
 
i dont mean about the acid.... which mean is BACTERIAL MENINGITIS ... which is cause by.... that bacterial meningitis part of sort of acid..... got it?

All I can say is that you are stretching that one quite a bit. I do understand what you trying to say but don't confuse the issues with a statement that can lead people astray.

Again it rarely happens and when it has happened, it typically occurred because neglect as in your link or due to some unanticipated factors (AB had a positioner issue in the past) or other weird things. For the run of the mill, it is not an issue.
 
could be using state insurance

maybe u use state insurance pay for it without ur pay one cent from ur pocket huh ? like say medical or medicaid insurance pay for ci ?

I have heard some of surgeon doctors who do CI surgery in USA travel oversea to preform free CI surgery on those kids that receives CI that was donated by several organizations in europe even in India. Those surgeon doctors didn't get any money. they were doing it for free...

If you look up Bacterial Meningitis on the net, and compare any statistic on it, then CI's figure very low on the scale as a cause. The only time you see it mentioned is when deaf activists want to go "SEE, I told you !!!!!", to make a sign-language and cultural point, of course nobody has ever died because they were deaf..... They should take into account these ya-boo comments are very hurtful to implantees, (Fellow deaf people), who by majority gain great benefit from them, they have CI's accept them.. India is developing a CI one FIFTH of the price the present CI's are sold at, if it is successful, it really will revolutionize the deaf community worldwide, my money is on the USA taking it up too ! As most CI wearers use sign language as well, the anti campaigns are just sour grapes, and annoying asides. If you have never had a CI, then what is your right to comment against them ?
