Closed captioning aids deaf viewers -- Page 1 -- Times Union - Albany NY
I would like to compliment News 10 for providing real time captioning, especially during the recent winter storms.
The deaf community has been extremely disappointed with the quality of closed captioning on all local television news programs.
Before News 10 began captioning live feeding, the quality of the captioning on local news programs was not at all informative. As a result, those of us who are deaf were often unable to get the news.
News 10 now provides superior captioning quality and has enabled the deaf to start watching the news again.
I applaud News 10 for its concern for deaf and hard of hearing viewers.
