Ok CI user's. After a lot of reading in this wonderful forum plus additional research i have decided to go see a CI doctor. I am in Atlanta and have located a CI clinic named, EAR Clinic they use both the Bionic Ear and Freedom.
Using the IP-Relay.com i talked with the doctor and he told me he needs the most current hearing test and will probably schedule an MRI.
I am late deafness actually in my sophomore year high school that was 32 years ago. I am 49 now. Turn deaf on the right side and partial deaf on the left use a HA 100% of the time. Without the HA is almost total silence. I can hear just a little bit. So based upon my readings, research i do qualify for the CI. Just need to go see the clinic
So the day is Nov 3rd, 2006 this is to start the whole process.
Are they any CI users in Atlanta or Ft. Lauderdale. I am asking for Ft. Lauderdale because i travel for work and work in Ft. Lauderdale so it will be great to meet some CI user to get there opinion.
