Christmas Scrooge Slaps A Neighbor With A Court Summons

MYFOXNY.COM - Officials for the village of Lindenhurst, Long Island, have issued tickets to a homeowner over her elaborate Christmas decorations.

Mary Groth said that she got two summonses: One for having toy soldiers and gingerbread men too clcse to the street (technically they are on village property) and one for having unlicensed electrical wiring on her lawn (the series of extension cords that power the entire display).

Mary told Fox 5 News her family has been setting up the bright display for six years to raise money for charity from donations given by passersby.

Village officials told Fox 5 that wiring can be dangerous and that someone could get shocked.
