Hi everybody, I found this story here.
Chatroom user’s death seen on webcam
Thursday, August 9, 2007

A computer expert died in front of a webcam as four chatroom friends looked via the Internet.

Christopher Williams was using a site he had created for deaf people when he collapsed on to his desk in front of the camera.

Friend Rebecca Quinn told an inquest they had been comforting him because he was upset at the death of his grandmother, adding: 'He was resting his head on his computer desk and looked like he was trying to sleep.'

When the 34-year-old did not move for 15 minutes they called police, who broke in.

The inquest heard Mr Williams, from Bridgend, Glamorgan, died from excess alcohol after drinking two bottles of whisky. Bridgend coroner Philip Walters recorded a verdict of accidental death.
Does anybody know what website this was? I tried searching online to find out who he was but I couldn't find it. Have you ever heard of him?

No i dont.. but sad to hear that he died right in front of the webcam.. thats so sad.. RIP Chris...

So, they didn't see this guy pounding that liquor at thie computer or anything. Gee, if he drank enough whiskey to kill him, he doen't just go away from the computer for a minute and return.

WoW I didnt know you can die just like that. Very sad... RIP Chris

That's really sad. RIP Chris.

I had a good friend that died on the computer desk while talking to her friend on IM. Her roommate came home from work and found her dead and called for help. The autopsy showed that she had a heart attack and she was only 30. In that case, She's had a bad heart since childhood. Its pretty scary knowing that you NEVER know what to expect.

At first I thought this was a hoax, but I guess its not. I cant imagine witnessing someones pasing over the internet some thousand miles away, and not being able to much about it except calling authorities - that is if we can get to them from where we are at.

Oh, boy. Sorry to hear that. Perhaps someone put the poison in the whiskey bottle by accident???

No you can die from alcohol poisioning. I had a classmate in high school whose father passed away a week before her senior year due to alcohol poisoning. He was an alcoholic and would regularly drink copious amounts of hard liqour and clear alcohol. At the time of his death they found alot of bottles of Jose Cuervo Tequila, Vodka, hundreds and hundreds of beer cans all over the place and lots of whiskey bottles as well. I mean just an unreal amount of alcoholic beverages in the house and all for one man. My classmate was no longer living with him at the time of his death, she and her younger sister had moved in with another one of my classmates parents house who knew the situation all too well and took the girls in. Both girls were good students, made As and Bs, the oldest always kept a job since she was 14. The oldest ended up staying here to finish out her senior year with us, and her younger sister went to live with an aunt on the east coast. From what I understand they have not seen each other since the oldest graduated, but they do keep in touch through myspace and have been trying to make arrangements to meet up again.
