Personality of Each Sign

rat.gif

The typical Rat personality traits include charm, intelligence, passion, elegance, opportunism, sentimentality, practicality, and honesty. Some of the less attractive aspects of this Sign include greed, excessive calculation, and an overdeveloped business sense verging upon workaholism.

The Rat is very smooth and even-tempered, but can turn into a grouch if things don't go their way, and even explode from time to time if provoked for too long. They are very successful in the business world, but whether this arises from their positive or their negative properties is anyone's guess.

Likes & Dislikes
The Rat person's favorite color is blue, and their corresponding gemstones are diamond, amethyst and garnet. They enjoy car accessories, art books, gym memberships and maps and atlases of all kinds. They enjoy playing basketball and billiards in their spare time, as well as painting, any sort of handicraft, and interior decorating and remodeling.

Rats are very impulsive and cannot stand delayed gratification, so they just can't live without their fascination of the moment. They dislike routines and indeed any sort of responsibility not self-inflicted. Rats cannot stand being passed over for those deemed more important than they are -- they think that they are the important ones, and deserve to be treated as such wherever they go!

ox.gif

Characteristics of the Ox personality profile include straightforwardness, consistency, kindness and a strong work ethic. They do not tolerate any sort of criticism, and can be very stubborn when they believe they are in the right.

The Ox is very capable and hardworking, but the flip side of this particular coin is a tendency to be moody, gloomy, conformist and quite often, not to put too fine a point on it, dull. But in their better moments, they can be very gentle, loving and supportive to those who they regard as integral to their well-being.

Likes & Dislikes
Ox people prefer stability -- they are traditionalists and homemakers by habit. Rarely would one expect an Ox person to be an extroverted hedonist. They are happiest in the peace and quiet of their own home environment. Ox people are fond of the color violet, and their corresponding gemstones are jade, emerald, and agate. They like kitchen accessories, gardening and planting books, cookbooks, and especially bonsai trees.

In their spare time they enjoy a personal fitness regimen, cooking, gardening, and sewing. Ox people dislike idle gossip and useless chitchat. They are also not fond of what they deem to be unnecessary social niceties and games people play -- Ox people like to get straight to the point whenever possible. They really don't appreciate being made fools of in public.

tiger.gif

The Tiger is a very changeable person, with a potent natural ability that is often in great danger of being abused. They are either leaders or rebels.

They can be vain, quarrelsome and overly aggressive at times, but their inherent charisma and vast reserves of charm are usually sufficient to extract them from any problems that may arise from their lack of foresight. Their idealistic outlook on life can take quite a few knocks on the head from this abrupt reality until it finally collapses -- at which point the Tiger personality can lapse into its less attractive aspects.

Likes & Dislikes
Tiger people are balls of energy and really enjoy being out about engaged in any sort of recreational physical activity. The favorite color of Tigers is green, and their corresponding gemstones are ruby and topaz. They like cookbooks, travel guides, sporting equipment, mystery novels and the odd game of football. They also enjoy parties, amateur dramatics, and vacations in exotic locales.

Some of the things that Tiger people could do without are, first and foremost, not getting enough recognition for their efforts on the behalf of others -- they hate being passed over, especially for others who they may consider to be inferior! They also don't like being made to feel inferior to others, and they especially dislike rude people. They will go to great pains to avoid those they consider impolite!

rabbit.gif

Although they appear to be very bland and unprepossessing types, Rabbits are often reservoirs of extreme emotion, which plays a great role in their choice of actions.

They have a strong independent streak, and despite their complaisant exteriors, they adamantly refuse to be ordered about. They can be cunning and secretive, touchy and conservative, yet at the same time diplomatic, peaceful and refined. The Rabbit is a mystery wrapped inside of a conundrum tucked away within an enigma, and is without a doubt one of the most difficult Signs to pin down, as they can jump in almost any direction.

Likes & Dislikes
Rabbits are generally very cozy and quiet people who like to stay at home nights with a good friend or a good book. The favorite color of the Rabbit person is pale green, and their corresponding gemstones are crystal and pearl. Rabbits like good music, fine wines, fabrics of all kinds, and recreational artwork. Their favorite pastimes include writing poetry, hiking, pottering about in the garden, and chatting with friends.

Rabbits dislike having their daily routines disrupted for any reason, and in general have a healthy distrust for disorganization in all of its many forms. Rabbits are very sensitive about their personal space, and dislike the sort of people who indulge in casual contact at the moment of greeting. They cannot stand the idea of kissing their hellos!

dragon.gif

Those who possess the characteristics of this Sign are gifted with an extraordinarily intense personality and are capable of great success, or spectacular failure. They generally succeed, however -- their secret being a great and abiding self-confidence.

The innate sincerity and openness of the Dragon can do a great deal to disarm the most explosive of situations. The down side includes a tendency to get bored easily and walk away from projects without finishing what they have started. They also tend to be a bit over-zealous, and can be angered easily at the slightest of obstacles.

Likes & Dislikes
Dragon people are in the main very strong personalities with a zest for adventure and personal challenges -- to be swiftly overcome, of course! The favorite color of Dragons is greenish-blue, and their corresponding gemstones are opal, sapphire and amber. Dragons like fortune-telling systems of all kinds, mirrors, heraldry as a hobby, and cellular phones as status symbols.

They also enjoy a bit of computer programming and gaming in their spare time, as well as public speaking, fossil hunting, and astrology. Dragons dislike taking orders from those that they consider their inferiors, unnecessary bureaucracy, and those who they feel aren't holding up their end of the bargain. They also can't stand centipedes or multicolored thread.

snake.gif

Unlike Western perceptions of the Snake as a dubious creature at best, in ancient China the Snake was associated with wisdom and aesthetic beauty.

A person graced with the Snake personality may appear languid and serene, but inside their mind is always spinning at hundreds of revolutions per minute. They are great thinkers, and excel at giving advice, even if they are no good at accepting it. Snakes are capable of bending the truth to aid their circumstances. Their ranks also contain a disproportionate amount of those with psychic talents of some sort.

Likes & Dislikes
Snakes are highly aesthetic people with very firm beliefs about what is beautiful and what is not. They like to stay in their cozy home nests. The favorite color of the Snake is red, and their corresponding gemstones are jasper and bloodstone. They are quite keen on binoculars, exotic oils and balms, and stamp collecting. They also enjoy astrology, painting, going on long vacations, and amateur photography.

Snakes dislike being interrupted while they are talking, or indeed having their own opinion on something being challenged in any way. They also don't take kindly to being misled or lied to in any way, especially where their personal life or private business may suffer in some way because of such incorrect information. Snakes will make enemies pay dearly for any sort of detrimental intrigue or infringement on their perceived prerogatives!

horse.gif

The typical personality of one born a Horse includes a streak of contagious enthusiasm -- this eternal happiness will attract a horde of friends and acquaintances throughout life. Horses are very vocal and enjoy speech, whether to a few or to an audience of thousands.

They appear to have great zest for life, and have the reputation of being courageous, but inside they are somewhat timid and require a catalyst for any forward motion. It is this reliance upon others for support and encouragement that is the bane of their independent streak -- but without it their self-confidence would suffer a mortal blow.

Likes & Dislikes
Horses are generally very active people who enjoy physical exercise. They bounce around from project to project, never finishing anything. The favorite color of the Horse person is orange, and their corresponding gemstones are turquoise and topaz. They like kites, compasses, cameras and other small mechanical devices. Their favorite pastimes include horseback riding (naturally!), going to the theater, music in all its many forms, and flying model airplanes.

Horses dislike being ignored by others, and will never forget a social snub. They also try to avoid being dependent on any other people in their life -- they like to be free if possible. They shy away from the apparent envy of others, as it is disconcerting for them. Horses can't abide being made to look foolish in the eyes of people whose personal opinions they respect.

goat.gif

Goats are genuinely nice people -- charming, amiable, and sympathetic to the needs of others. They hate to criticize and always look for the best in people, including themselves.

A Goat will prefer to forget grievances rather than brood over them and will keep any resentment tightly under control in order maintain peace and prosperity among the group. Goats live in the present, which they attempt to enjoy to the best of their abilities. Thanks to their sensitive natures, Goats are the most creative and expressive of all the Signs in the Chinese Zodiac.

Likes & Dislikes
Goats are cultured people who prefer the sort of entertainments not patronized by those of the common crowd. The favorite colors of the Goat person are pink and purple, and their corresponding gemstones are moonstone, sapphire and jade. Goats like bathrobes, broaches, peppermint oil, seashells, being massaged and opera tickets. They are consummate sybarites and enjoy pampering themselves and their bodies.

They prefer to spend their leisure time reading, eating, drinking fine wines, swimming and watching movies. Goats dislike the feeling of being separated from all of their friends and loved ones -- they like to have the support of those close to them in their endeavors. They also dislike conflict of any sort, and are very good at dodging it completely whenever it may surface in their lives.

monkey.gif

Monkey personalities are highly competitive and insatiably curious, with an intelligence and imagination that will allow them to make the best of any situation in which they find themselves.

They are very quick and sharp in speech, and never at a loss for words, although they may sometimes bend their words to serve questionable ends. Although Monkeys are essentially schemers and skilled at manipulating others, they are not entirely bereft of a sense of responsibility and will use these skills judiciously.

Likes & Dislikes

Monkeys are very active people with a variety of physical and mental pastimes with which to amuse themselves in their off hours. The color of choice for Monkey people is yellow, and their corresponding gemstones are crystal, agate, topaz and aquamarine. Monkeys like books, pens, cellular phones, makeovers, joke books, and crossword puzzles.

In their spare time they enjoy solving puzzles of all kinds, playing a musical instrument, or going out to a bar and singing on the karaoke machine until all hours. Monkeys cannot stand being forced to be quiet -- they need to broadcast, loudly, all the time! They have no use for people who simply will not be a good audience for their many pranks and antics, and even less use for people who will try to horn in on their occupation of center stage and steal the spotlight for themselves!

rooster.gif

Roosters are highly flamboyant people, and their appearance is very important to them -- they are never satisfied with how they look.

They are friendly, pleasant and obliging people, who can prove themselves to be as resourceful and talented as they say they are in moments of crisis. Roosters have the ability to take life as it comes, and indeed may appear a bit too relaxed for the nerves of their intimates. They are fiercely independent, and rely solely upon themselves in all questions of support and effectiveness.

Likes & Dislikes
Rooster people are very active and showy egotists who like to go out and paint the town red once in a while. The favorite color of the Rooster person is peach, and their corresponding gemstones are diamond, ruby and topaz. They enjoy a good terrarium, a nice walking stick, an engraved flask, or new clothes of the more stylish varieties -- Roosters are real show-offs when it comes to their wardrobe!

They also enjoy spending time socializing, fishing, gardening, swimming, hiking, or mountain biking. Roosters dislike people with bad hygienic habits, and will avoid them in public and complain about them in private. They also hate people who they consider to be philistines, as well as those who dare to make fun of them when they think that they are the toast of the town.

dog.gif

Dogs are essentially honest and noble creatures, who have a tendency to see all issues in terms of black and white.

They are possessed of a sharp tongue, which they use to defend passionately their cause of choice. Idealists to a fault, with impeccably moral qualities, Dogs are also quickly turned by the slings and arrows of the world into sour cynics, riddled with doubt and anxiety at the state of affairs of a planet that that had no personal hand in creating, yet somehow feel responsible for anyway.

Likes & Dislikes

Dog people are very cerebral and introspective, and prefer more sedentary pursuits and enjoyments. The favorite color of Dog persons is pale yellow, and their corresponding gemstones are moonstone, carnelian and jasper. They like rocking chairs, good books, roses and other flowers, and movies of all kinds. Their favorite pastimes are cooking, dancing, and arts and crafts of every possible variety, from basket weaving to pottery.

Dogs dislike hurting other people's feelings, so they will go out of their way to be polite to people, at least to their faces. They don't like losing control of their emotions, as they are embarrassed by any big emotional outpouring and will try to avoid such incidents. They also have a strong sense of social justice and enjoy backing unpopular causes, especially those for which there is little or no chance of success in the near future!

pig.gif

Pig personalities, despite the nasty overtones of the name, are actually very friendly and easygoing types who are almost impossible not to get along with.

Rampant hedonists, they are always in search of a good time and will goad others into joining them whenever possible. Privacy is very important to Pigs, but this does not prevent them from seeking opinions and possibly aid from their friends when the hard times are evident. Nor are they remiss in offering help themselves to any friend who might stand in need.

Likes & Dislikes
Pigs are generally cheerful people who enjoy the more physical recreations in life. The favorite color of Pig people is dark blue, and their corresponding gemstones are lapis lazuli, coral and beryl. Pigs like makeup, lotions and perfumes, bathroom accessories and, true to type, all sorts of delicious and exotic foods. They enjoy pampering their bodies in their spare time, as well as shopping, the theater, and going to parties.

Pigs dislike being forced to rein in their appetites or limit their menus for any reason, whether starvation or just the occasional diet. They also hate conflict of all kinds, as it disrupts their daily routines and keeps them from their habitual activities. They also have an uncontrollable aversion to breaking the law, even when it's justified on their part.

Ox. I find the description somewhat accurate, but these sorts of things are always so general that it can easily apply to anyone.

A DOG!!!!! WOOF!!!! I got my Doggy Avatar!!! HeeHee :giggle:

Huh, I dislike hurting people feeling? That's me?

RABBIT :D but I can´t find rabbit in poll list that I can vote to.. :sadwave:

Timid and attractive, the Rabbits of the Chinese Zodiac tend to act more like bunnies, whether they like it or not! This Sign is extremely popular and has a wide circle of family and friends. Its compassionate nature leads it to be very protective of those it holds dear, but where romance is concerned, the Rabbit's sentimentality can lead it to idealize relationships. The sweet, sensitive Rabbit often ends up giving more of itself to a partner than is realistic or healthy. The good news is, when this Sign goes off-balance, the Rabbit's core group of friends and its stable home life help bring it back to center.

The Rabbit is a rather delicate Sign that needs a solid base in order to thrive. Lacking close, supportive friends and family, the Rabbit might just break down in tears at the first sign of conflict. Emotional upsets in this Sign's life can even lead to physical illnesses. Rabbits dislike arguments and other conflict and will try anything to avoid a fight; this results in something of a pushover nature. Rabbits can also lapse into pessimism and may seem stuck in life -- often to mask their insecure natures. Rabbits tend to move through life's lessons at their own, rather contemplative pace; it's a waste of time to become exasperated with this Sign's seeming disinterest in facing its problems and conquering them.

With the right partner -- meaning someone whose high principles won't allow it to take advantage of this sensitive, giving Sign -- the Rabbit can make an incredibly loving and protective partner or family member. Rabbits love to entertain at home and always make sure their house is comfortable and tastefully-furnished. What Rabbits need most is a stronger sense of self-worth and the security that comes with it. Their discerning natures, coupled with some hard-won assertiveness, will help these happy creatures go far.

The most compatible match for a Rabbit is the Goat or the Pig.

I am a rabbit too, and rabbit is sometimes substituted as cat, which is in the list ;)
