Chick Fil a - thank you

CFA wants to target the general customers, rather than specified customers so they are no longer to donate the money to anti-gay rights organizations. It is unethical for businesses to support the organizations that hate gay people.

Again, this was always Chick- Fil-a's policy. There is nothing unethical about having your business reflect your beliefs. Did you read the second article?

If a man has sex with another man, it IS a choice. And yes I agree therapy will not help a man to abstain from having sex with another man.

The gay rights movement is one thing that causes decay within our society. To illustrate my point, those that do not agree with the movements objectives are often called haters. Furthermore, I personally do not hate anyone.

Your argument is no valid.

"Sex orientation" is different from sexual intercourse.

Sex Orientation means straight, bisexual, homosexual and asexual.

The "sex" means male or female, known as gender.

The debate about sexual intercourse isn't welcomed and please keep discuss about CFA donation.

I did read your second article, not much different from my article, unless you have to state the quote if you think it is very different.

My thread points about CFA NO LONGER fund the anti-gay organizations, not their company policy because company could do anything to get away with policy. I'm not going argue with you about article and their policies because you are notorious person to cause any confusion and throw thread into extremely quibbling/uncivil debate, that which isn't welcomed in my thread.

The FBI is a government law enforcement agency. SPLC is a non-profit group.

I know, SPLC and ADL share the information about hate groups to FBI.

Not all hate groups that SPLC and ADL listed on FBI database.

I'm confused by your post. Could you post the name(s) of the "hate group(s) that you think Chick-fil-A is making donations to and a link to the national FBI website that list this group as being declared a hate group. That would clear up any confusion.

if an organization is against gay people, that's hate.

and where did it say that it's a hate group only if it's declared by FBI?

Wow, that is pretty rude.

I am not trying to debate. I merely presented aa article with a different account of the events.

SPLC is just a non profit group. anything they express is just an opinion.

I think it's much than "just an opinion" since SPLC is listed as FBI resource and partner for hate crimes. SPLC also provides training for law enforcement agencies.

FBI — Overview
Public Outreach: The FBI has forged partnerships nationally and locally with many civil rights organizations to establish rapport, share information, address concerns, and cooperate in solving problems. These groups include such organizations as the NAACP, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League, the National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium, the National Organization for Women, the Human Rights Campaign, and the National Disability Rights Network.

How I was rude?

For second paragraph, that's ok and what is different account of the event? Care to explain about 1st article and 2nd article.

You need do all persuade me to understand about difference between articles. The CFA policy didn't stop them to fund the pro-family organization (anti-gay organization to my standard).

Look it is as simple as this. Hate for lack of a better word is the immediate action whether by physical or verbal intolerance of a person or group who shares a different opinion, religion, sexual orientation or belief. In other words Chick Fil a was supporting a hate group. Now look with this whole thing about the FBI and black panthers and all that it is really the same with anything else. Some statements I agree with and some I don't. The point is don't let this whirlwind out of control from what the real issue is. We should be discussing the Chick Fil a portion more then anything else. A good starter would be why do you think they changed their tune and no longer support hate groups. Was it from the media whirlwind or was it a moral choice?

Could be just for more publicity...and of course, more business (?).....I don't "hate" gays....then again, I don't love 'em either....it's their choice, and a different lifestyle from mine....

or maybe a legal issue. a very expensive one.

I don't see them really getting sued by the basic citizen however as a public establishment that serves the public food they would have risked getting sued by a employee if that person was fired due to sexual orientation. If they stay face in the public view however then they lower the chances but with everything that has occurred in the past few months I think they might have ruined everything that had going all these years.

I don't think so. Every Chick-Fil-a I go to still has long lines. Perhaps time will tell a different story, but I doubt it.

Mine does too. I have no doubt they will continue to grow and will soon be the largest chicken serving restaurant, by-passing KFC, POPEYE'S and all others.

If an organization is against people expressing their religious beliefs, that is hate. If an organization is trying to force people to suppress their religious beliefs, that is censorship and oppression. It also violates the Constitution.

I want to tell you a little story about the Chick-Fil-a I use to go to. Years ago when I went to the mall after I did my shopping I would go to the food court. At the time Burgerking was always in the spotlight around here and had huge crowds. A few places down was a Chick-Fil-a and there was never anyone there except maybe a few people on and off. Well I use to eat at the Chick-Fil-a simply because I liked chicken and they had good waffle fries and cole slaw and plus no lines ever. Well years pass and Chick-Fil-a was in the news with all this stuff going on and they got huge crowds and guess what happened with burgerking. Burgerkings crowds got smaller. Now this is the interesting part. I have seen how the cycle works with these places at least around here and I am willing to bet my bottom dollar that once Chick-Fil-a becomes yesterdays news that they will once again take a back seat to the all mighty whopper like they have been doing for over 15 years. There is 2 ways to make a business grow and it is more then supply and demand. It is supply and commercialism. You know the saying any publicity is good publicity. What do you think will happen after people lose interest in the Chick-Fil-a debacle?

Chick-Fil-a has been around since the 40's with a good product and even better business model that features responsible slow growth. Their success will continue. I only wish that I could buy stock.
