please tell !
I have a California's Twisted Valley 2011 here...its supposed to be quite fruity for the chard...
so what you think?
if there any goog american or european chardonnay i ought to try?
I Know French I have a couple...and french reds...Bordeux....

dont drag in other kinds unless you have to.. try stick with Chardonnay, woody or buttery or fruity, or stony i dont care

my favourity is 2008 Southen Eclipse
then
2009 Kumeu River Village Chardonnay
then 2009 Kahurangi Estate Chardonney

now i have NZ's Best Corban's Estate special bundle

Are you trying to build up your wine stock or just looking for cheap chardonnay stuff? I tried the boxed stuff ... ick too gritty like.

well, put this way, look at the awards and recogition they have,,,,AND ive tasted all those and other more expensive stuffs, the ones i have blows your tastebuds away

or screw caps it doesnt matter, what matters is how the wine was made

"2009 Kumeu River, Village Chardonnay, Kumeu, New Zealand (£11.75, reduced to £10.56 by the case, Haynes, Hanson & Clark tel. 020 7584 7927 & Wine Merchants in London, Stow-on-the-Wold and Whitchurch - Haynes, Hanson & Clark). I cannot quite believe that New Zealand’s most famous Chardonnay producer can knock out a stunning wine for a tenner! (£) Kumeu River is a legendary estate and this keen, zesty, elegant wine is effortlessly impressive, showing class and true breeding"

Definitely try Fuedo Arancio Chardonnay and Picket Fence Chardonnay. They are both awesome!!! :)

Kendal Jackson and William Hill are two of my favorites. I used get KJ pretty cheap, but it has gone up in price with popularity. William Hill is expensive, but I've gotten it cheaper(believe it or not) at some restaurants.

hmmm ok so what does it taste like? what is it prodominant characteristic?
stony, creamy? buttery? woody? fruity? what fruits stands through? and what year has been the best you have had, and which year that dissappoint , can you note the weather/season which attributed to its quality ascent/descent at which vintages? year of harvest hand pressed cold pressed , malolectic processes?

Jackson is creamy and buttery and Hill is similar, but if you want something with more bite I'd go for Black Mountain.

thats the kind i like, yes that's a good quality chard, I have a Kumeu River arriving at my doorstep later today (last of the stocks in NZ), aged from 2009, it is the best year they ever made on the "Village' cheapest, lowest of their range but reviews said its so good, right up with their best, a real fluke. So I can wait :)

well, its not a chardonnay, and its not a white one either,
its a

Squawking Magpie SQM Merlot Cabernet Hawke's Bay NZ 2005

smooth, soft, plummy, and what a nose....

it looks like this as attached

it was well worth the 9 years wait, i justified to open it 1 year earlier because i dislike to have it straight as the frame, losing the juice tastes...so thats just my style

what matters is how the wine was made
