Records Show Past Complaints From Apartment Complex Residents

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The ceiling collapsed on a man as he took a shower in his south Nashville apartment, and records show it's just the start of the problems at the apartment complex, Nashville TV station WSMV reported.
Herman Bradford now wears a bandage and a neck brace after what happened at Regency Villa.
"All at once, something just hit me on the head," he said.
The ceiling collapsed on Bradford as he showered Monday night.
"He was sitting down in the tub when I went in there, and his leg been chopped off, was all bloody, and his back was all red where the ceiling caved in on his back," said Edith Shepherd, Bradford's girlfriend.
Records show there are currently three open inspection requests involving the apartment complex, including one by Bradford filed about a week before the ceiling collapse landed him in the hospital.
"I've been dealing with that ceiling for six months now for them to get on it and fix it," he said.
A woman working in the apartment complex office directed WSMV to a company called First Management, where there was no response.
