No amount of talking and trying to "reason" with her did any good....

YOU did right thing
She was using tons of real cheap perfume to cover up the smell, is was so gross. She had to put into a nursing home as she went of her meds and could not live alone anymore. Her unit was a fire trap and she was putting everyone else at risk too. Both of her bedrooms where packed with so much crap the woman could not get to windows to open them and she had to sleep on a cot in the kitchen . Her niece had to rent of those huge dumper to get rid of all the craps her aunt had hoarded over the years. I saw the place and I my jaw went like this :jaw: .this hording getting more common I wonder why....I trying to get rid sell or give away as much as possible, the thought of your life being put in a tip is what it come down to..when I leave this world I don't want my son to do that so I doing now
I hope that I never see this here, although rural areas around big cities or large towns in Cook, DuPage, Lake, and Kankakee Counties have had their share of these.
There are many hoarding issues in cities too.
True, but it's a rarity here. Doesn't happen often. Mostly to the south.
How you know?
Fact: You never know about any houses in your area, and are you working for NSA?
Because I check my local news websites, and many animal hoarding houses have been busted up south of Chicago. There are very few here in the city itself, because of strict laws regarding pets.
News only reported after found out or bust.
You never know about meth labs in your area, even next house may be meth lab because it isn't busted or found out.
I have sky tv and on some channels there sooooooooo many programmes about hoarders then other ones just on animal hoarding....I think many of the people have or had nervous breakdowns and this a symptom of sad situation
Okay, first of all, I live right smack in the middle of a school zone-- Meth labs aren't even permitted around here, because A) there are several apartment buildings where I live and B) several of these buildings have kids in them, another reason why this is a drug free zone.
