Cat's Longest Tail?.....

Our male kitty cat, about 6 months old, has a loooong tail....since I don't know much about Cats, was wondering how long their tails actually grow....

I goggled it, and here's what I read...

My 4 month old kitten has a tail that measures 13.5 inches long. What is the longest cat tail on record?

Most cats have tails that measure the same length as their body from the front of the chest to the back of the buttocks. If your kitten's tail is longer than this, it does indeed have a proportionally long tail.

I was unable to find any information on "longest tail on a domestic cat". I even searched the Guiness Book of World Records to no avail.

I am afraid this is one record that no one ever thought to keep.

....I haven't been able to hold our cat down long enough to measure his tail yet.......when my boys come home, I will be able to do so.

Awesome. measure your kitty to see if your kittys tail is longest one. go for it! good luck. by the way, take a picture of your kitty and your kittys tail too.

If you have a rocking chair make sure your cat long tail is not in the way! Most animals hate to have their tail touch! My dogs hate me brushing their tails!
