Anyone tried a carved full shell silicone ear mold and find it better?
Saw someone walk past me today with a different looking ear mold so I've just looked it up and the Internet says this:
Carved shell earmoulds are similar to standard shells but the interior is carved out to provide improved sealing properties. Lighter in weight, carved shells adapt well to jaw movements during speech and mastication without compromising the seal. The carved shell is less conspicuous while providing better retention in the ear. Suitable for severe to profound hearing loss for both paediatric and adult users. Available in acrylic, silicone and UV materials and in a range of colours.
Something that I'm definely going to be asking for if it is actually better.
I've never hear of it until now
